These terms govern your use of the Discreta Engine API and the website at discreta.io. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Discreta Engine is an anomaly detection API. You submit time series data, and the engine returns analysis identifying where anomalous events occur. The engine operates without training data and requires no configuration.
Access to the API requires an API key issued at our discretion. We may revoke any API key at any time, for any reason, without notice. Sample signals on the website are available without a key for demonstration purposes.
You may use the API to analyze your own data for legitimate purposes. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the detection algorithm or any proprietary methodology from the service. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute API access. You may not use the service to process data you do not have the right to analyze.
The Discreta Engine, including its detection methodology, algorithms, and software, is the proprietary property of P. Orelio Sattari. All rights reserved. Your use of the API does not grant you any rights to the underlying technology.
Data you submit through the API is processed in memory and returned to you as analysis results. We do not store, retain, or log the content of your uploaded signals. We do not use your data to train or improve the engine. See our Privacy Policy for details on what information we do collect.
The service is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any analysis produced by the engine. You are solely responsible for how you use the results. The engine is a diagnostic tool, not a decision-making system — it identifies potential anomalies for your review, not definitive conclusions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, P. Orelio Sattari shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to damages from missed detections, false positives, service interruptions, or data loss.
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated to active API key holders via email.
